HOW OFTEN TO BATHE YOUR POOCH DURING SUMMER?
Your pooch doesn’t require to take a bath every day and this is great for them as they don’t like baths anyways. One has to really force them to take them for a bath. As summers are approaching, your pooch might sweat a lot and feel hot too. In summers, it is advisable you give them a bath once or twice in a week. If your dog is suffering from any skin problems then you might need to bath them on every alternate day.
When bathing your dog go for dog shampoo. If you don’t have dog shampoo, you can go for human baby shampoo. Use a conditioner along with shampoo to nourish your dog’s fur and coat. In summers, for better fur and coat of your dog, you can use anti-tick and flea shampoos. The shampoos you use should be moisturizer and soap free. This is important so that your dog’s coat doesn’t become dry after the bath.
The texture of your dog’s coat will help you in determining how much dust and dirt have been accumulated on their skin. If your dog has a coat that requires regular grooming, you need to visit a vet. The vet will prepare a schedule for your dog’s bath, hair cut and everything else.
Other than that, the activities and lifestyle of your dog decide how much bathing they require in a month. But too much of using dog shampoo and giving a bath can also increase the shredding of your dog fur so, be careful.
